At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the Pharmacopeia, codex and other referance books used in pharmacy 2) Know drug and drug active substances concepts, and properties of magistral, officinal, original and generic drugs 3) Learn the defination of prescription, clasifications of prescriptions and dose calculations in prescriptions. 4) Acquire knowledge about products other than drugs that are sold in a pharmacy and learn the computer applications in pharmacies. 5) Have knowledge about the ability to use the knowledge and skills gained in the advanced stages of education and to use them in professional life. 6) Acquire knowledge about duties, rights and responsibilities; and act ethically and in compliance with regulations as an individual.

COURSE DEFINITION
The course covers; description of drug and drug active substances; properties of Magisteral , Officinal, Original and Generic drugs; pharmaceutical dosage forms, defination of prescription, clasification of prescriptions, dose calculations in prescription; properties of Rx and OTC drugs, the products other than drugs that are sold in a pharmacy and computer applications in pharmacies.
