COURSE DEFINITIONUnderstanding the importance of cultural differences. Theories and methods in culturally sensitive counseling. Education, professional and ethical issues in culturally sensitive counseling. Developing cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity. Evaluating adaptation of counseling theories to different cultures.

4th Week Culture centered theories and applications.
5th Week Activities preparing counselor toward culturally sensitive counseling
6th Week Culturally sensitive basic attention skills
7th Week Culturally sensitive paraphrasing, summarizing and encouragement skills
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Ability to ask questions on cultural sensitive counseling
10th Week Ability to reflect emotions and content within context of cultural sensitive counseling
11th Week Facing, focusing and directing and interpreting skills
12th Week Culturally sensitive counseling practices
