LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Knows theoretical explanations about behavioral disorders.
2) Knows the classification system for behavioral disorders.
3) Relates the emergence processes of behavioral disorders and intervention processes.
4) Structures the recognition, prevention and response processes related to behavioral disorders within the scope of competence in educational environments and psychological counseling processes.
5) Carries out the necessary teamwork in the intervention processes related to any behavior disorder.
6) Acts in accordance with ethical and legal processes in recognition, prevention and intervention processes related to behavioral disorders.

COURSE DEFINITIONTheoretical approaches about anticipating factors and interventions for different age groups of behavioral disorders. Planning and constructing of diagnosis and intervention processes based on DSM-V. Connecting diagnostic and educational processes, cooperating with related professionals.

1st Week Introduction - Psychopathology- History / Classification and Diagnostic Systems. Theoretical explanations about Behavioral Disorders
2nd Week DSM V classification system- Theoretical explanations about behavioral disorders-Interview principles and techniques / Psychological Counseling Skills-Course evaluation, observation-interview, determining the subject of homework.
3rd Week Educational environments-PDR services-Psychological Counseling processes-Recognizing behavioral disorders-prevention and intervention-collaboration with relevant professionals-homework subject examination
4th Week Diagnostic-educational processes and prevention and intervention-homework examination in neurodevelopmental disorders
5th Week Diagnostic-educational processes and prevention and interventions in anxiety, depression disorders and obsession and compulsion disorders
6th Week Diagnostic-educational processes and prevention and interventions in abuse and trigger-related disorders
7th Week Diagnostic-educational processes and prevention and interventions in obsessive and compulsive disorders and physical symptom disorders homework examination
8th Week Diagnostic-educational processes and prevention and interventions in the scope of schizophrenia and other disorders with psychosis and bipolar disorders and resolution disorders
