COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, interior design solutions for residences, administrative buildings and public spaces that came to the fore in the Greek and Roman periods in the Aegean and Anatolian geography are examined. Within the scope of the course, ancient structures, material knowledge, ancient cities and settlement patterns will also be studied. The original construction techniques and regional material diversity that should be followed in today's restoration works of ancient buildings and the diversity of structures and materials sensitive to the Mediterranean climate will also be emphasized.

2nd Week Ephesus, Miletus, Magnesia, Laodicea and its structures, architectural styles
3rd Week Hermogenes of Priene and his structures
4th Week Priene and city plan, architect Pythius
5th Week Hippodamus of Miletus and ancient city design and structures
6th Week Dinocrates and the city plan of Alexandria
7th Week The Acropolis of Athens and Phidias, Kallikrates and Ictinus, Mnesicles, Carpion
8th Week Theodorus of Samos and his influences
9th Week Philo and temple interior arrangements
10th Week Solutions in Satyros and Halicarnassus Mausoloeum architecture
11th Week Knidos and Sostratus, their effects on interiors in regional buildings
12th Week Aspendos theater and Zeno's analysis
13th Week Dinocrates and Parmenion Building Analysis in Alexandria
