1) Gains knowledge of examining the conversion and functionalization studies in interior design
2) Learns detailed information about contemporary applications in interior convertion

4) Gains skills in preparing projects in accordance with international standards on contemporary interior arrangement

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course aims to determine the contemporary approach criteria applied in redesigning and converting the interior spaces of the historic buildings as a result of functional changes.

2nd Week Contemporary approaches to interior convertion in historical buildings I
3rd Week Contemporary approaches to interior convertion in historical buildings I
4th Week International contemporary design criteria and standards
5th Week Analysis studies to be carried out before convertion in historic interiors
6th Week Methods of determining functional requirements in historic interiors
7th Week Furnishing and decoration arangements and Installation of plumbing and equipment in historic interior arrangements
8th Week MIDTERM
9th Week Determination of interior transformation projects in historical buildings to be examined as a research subject
10th Week Presentation of the sample application projects determined as the research subject I
11th Week Presentation of the sample application projects determined as the research subject II
12th Week Presentation of the sample application projects determined as the research subject III
13th Week Detailed analysis of project examples in terms of conservation and contemporary design criteria in general
