COURSE DEFINITIONThis course provides skills in the preparation of conservation - restoration projects covering the interiors of historical buildings, and especially in the furnishing and decoration of interiors.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Theoretical basis of conservation works for interiors in historical buildings
2nd Week Documentation techniques and types of historical buildings (Preparation of architectural survey)
3rd Week Methods of analysis of interior spaces
4th Week Building material and structural analysis in interior spaces (Archaeometric studies)
5th Week Detection of deterioration, changes and deformations in interior spaces
6th Week Preparation of restitutionn project for interior spaces
7th Week Preparation of restoration project for interior spaces
8th Week MIDTERM
9th Week Interior arrangements, furnishing and decoration due to the restoration projects
10th Week Installation of plumbing and equipment indoors in restoration projects
11th Week Determination of restoration projects to be examined as a research subject
12th Week Presentation of the research subject I
13th Week Presentation of the research subject II
14th Week General analysis of restoration project examples and detailed analysis of conservation approaches. Evaluation and Conclusion
