1) have information about the theoretical and applied studies in the field of Fashion and social psychology,
2) evaluate the phenomenon of Fashion from the perspective of Social psychology,
3) learn how social psychology concepts are used in fashion,
4) reach more comprehensive information on Mass-Consumption-Social adaptation-Social influence-Imitation-Pattern-Perception-Perception manipulation-Advertising and Psychological function.

COURSE DEFINITIONFashion emerges as an important social and psychological cultural aspect. The development and prevalence of fashion products are facilitated by the use of some important social psychological devices. Fashion presents a wide area of social influence and social communication within the field of social interaction. This interaction constitutes the most important study area of this course.

1st Week The origin of fashion and social psychology disciplines.
2nd Week Convergence of fashion and social psychology.
3rd Week Mass production - mass consumption .
4th Week Loss of individuality-social impact.
5th Week Establishment of subject-object relationship in capitalist society and perception of fashion referents.
6th Week Self-otherness-representation-imitation-alienation, commodity fetishism.
7th Week Midterm exam
8th Week Social psychology theories: Psychoanalysis
9th Week Gestalt-Structuralism
10th Week Behaviorism-organizational and individual communication
11th Week Individual relation- group- categories- social classes
12th Week persuasion-aggression-sexuality-group behavior
13th Week Advertising-political-economic social interaction.
14th Week General evaluation.
