Access to Further Studies

Students graduating from the Fashion Design "Non-Thesis Master's Program" cannot obtain the right to apply to any doctoral program. However, if the student meets the necessary conditions, he can transfer from the non-thesis master's program to the thesis master's program. Transfer application between the thesis and non-thesis master's programs of the same department/major art branch is made when the student successfully completes the second semester and at least four courses in the program he/she is enrolled in. The student who will apply for the transition from the non-thesis program to the thesis program must have the required ALES score for the thesis program and have a non-thesis master's grade point average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00. The time spent by the student in the program he/she is enrolled in is deemed to have been spent in the program he/she transferred to. In lateral transfers between thesis and non-thesis master's programs, the courses that the student has taken in the program he/she is enrolled in are considered valid in the new program, as well as the courses taken in the new program, are shown in the transcript and processed. Students who have a master's degree with a thesis can apply to doctoral programs.
