COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course inductive, deductive and hypodeductive method; The concepts of event-phenomenon, concept-term, hypothesis-hypothesis, theory-hypothesis, analysis, classification and synthesis are discussed. In the course content, a research project proposal is prepared with all its stages in order to make students comprehend the logic of scientific thinking and scientific research and to teach them the ways to reach scientific truths. In this course, in which types of scientific research are examined in detail, it is ensured that students are able to write an article in line with quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques.

1st Week What is scientific research and article? History of Scientific Writing, Academic Evaluation Authorities in Turkey
2nd Week The processes of designing, initiating, conducting and finalizing a research
3rd Week Determining the subject and study method within the scope of the research assignment
4th Week The processes of designing, initiating, conducting and finalizing a research
5th Week IMRAD article preparation technique
6th Week Rules that researchers must follow during the design, management, implementation and publication of the study
7th Week Unethical behaviors encountered in scientific research, publication and artistic practices
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Announcement of research/review results
10th Week Types of publications full text article, review article, research note or short communication, letter to the editor, meeting abstract published in journals, book review, symposium/conference/congress proceedings/poster presentations
11th Week Evaluation of assignments
12th Week Journal selection, impact factor, search indexes
13th Week Influence of Editors and Referees on Article Acceptance
