LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will have in-depth knowledge of the theoretical knowledge in the field.
2) Information about the effect and use of psychoanalysis, especially on visual arts, is obtained.
3) Information is obtained on the technical use and examples of subconscious theory in visual communication.

COURSE DEFINITIONDiscussions in the field where art and psychology affect each other theoretically and practically, especially within the framework of psychoanalytic theory, are discussed. The basic theory, design and applications developed in this field are discussed. Discussion topics such as artistic perception, artist psychology, the basic psychological effect of the work on the receiver, the interaction of art and subconscious, theories of consciousness and subconscious, collective subconscious and its effect on art are examined. In addition, visual arts interaction and applications are examined based on the concept of art, thought, emotion and subconscious.

4th Week Theories in Art Psychology: Wertheimer, Gestalt, Fechner, Worringer
5th Week Psychoanalytic theory of art: Freud-Jung-Lacan
6th Week psychoanalytic theory of art
7th Week Psychoanalysis and the visual arts
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Art therapy-visual culture, design and applications
10th Week Madmen and Geniuses (G.Venzmer) book review
11th Week Cinema-TV and Psychoanalysis
12th Week Advertising and Subliminal advertising content applications
