LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understands illustration and its function in the design process.
2) Develops conceptual skills related to image creation.
3) Knows the history and development process of digital illustration.
4) Creates a story illustration using their preferred medium.
5) Uses digital technologies to solve design problems with illustration.
6) Makes illustrations based on observation using various techniques.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe aim of the course is to enable students to concentrate on different applications and illustration techniques from the design stage to the finished product stage. In the projects given to the students, they are asked to produce digital illustrations, storytelling and illustration of the children's book, and collage technique work to be used in mass communication. In addition, in this course, projects that include the methods of using illustration and writing together in visual communication design and question the relationships, are produced.

2nd Week Illustration techniques -the application of materials, creative techniques, solutions in the project-.
3rd Week Visual production with conceptual content based on text.
4th Week Evaluation of working sketches.
5th Week Project delivery and evaluation.
6th Week Illustration/design work based on a text.
7th Week Evaluation of working sketches.
8th Week Project delivery and evaluation.
9th Week Original project work that includes different uses of illustration.
10th Week Evaluation of working sketches.
11th Week Developing different technical and solution proposals.
12th Week Project delivery and evaluation.
13th Week Short practice studies based on measuring achievements.
14th Week Critical and evaluation.
