At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understands illustration and its function in the design process. 2) Develops conceptual skills related to image creation. 3) Knows the history and development process of digital illustration. 4) Creates a story illustration using their preferred medium. 5) Uses digital technologies to solve design problems with illustration. 6) Makes illustrations based on observation using various techniques.

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of the course is to enable students to concentrate on different applications and illustration techniques from the design stage to the finished product stage. In the projects given to the students, they are asked to produce digital illustrations, storytelling and illustration of the children's book, and collage technique work to be used in mass communication. In addition, in this course, projects that include the methods of using illustration and writing together in visual communication design and question the relationships, are produced.
