COURSE DEFINITION
Basic Photography starts with the question "what is photography" and covers the basic techniques of photography, the relationship between photography and culture, the ideology behind photography and the forms of compositional aesthetics, etc. It is an introductory course that aims to cover topics.
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the phenomenon of photography, the historical development of photography, types of photography and shooting techniques, as well as the basic qualities of analog and digital cameras; It is to ensure that students can use their cameras competently.
At the end of the course, the expected student is not only to be able to use the camera technically; creating a language of expression through photography and adapting this language to various visual communication designs, being aware of the factors that shape the language.
Students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned within the scope of the course with the end-of-term project they are responsible for preparing, and thus they will experience communicating with photography, telling a story or, in other words, expressing an idea visually.
