At the end of this course, the students; 1) Are able to understand the basic principles about engineering materials. 2) Have the knowledge about the subjects, metals and alloys, phase diagrams, test methods on materials, gathering the iron and steel, heat treatment. 3) Have the knowledge about the subjects, materials used in manufacturing, their structures and use of areas. 4) Gain the ability to make the choice of materials.
