At the end of this course, the students; 1) Have the ability to understand the basic principles of Ergonomics. 2) Have the ability to identify the human body and movement systems. 3) Have the ability to introduce the relationship of the human-machine-environment. 4) Have the ability to understand and measure the effects of the environmental factors on a job shop. 5) Have the ability to analyze the anthropometric data and to determine the anthropometric working extensions. 6) Have the ability to design the appropriate job shop regarding work health and safety. 7) Have the ability to explain the design criteria for ergonomic work stations.

COURSE DEFINITION
In this course, after reviewing the description and short history of Ergonomics, introduces to the basic concepts. The Human Body and Movement Systems, Physical Work, Human-Machine cross-section, Human and Working Environment (Noise, Temperature, Humidity, Lightening, etc.), Anthropometrics, Anthropometric Principals and Working Dimensions, Human Mistakes, Work Accidents, Security, psycho-social approaches, Job Diseases, Work Motivation, Arrangement of Working Environment and Work Stations will be covered.
