1) Comprehends general information about the definition and characteristics of the concept of news.

5) Explains the principles that should be done in journalism.

COURSE DEFINITIONWith this course, the student will gain the competencies of preparing news for the written and audio-visual media. What is news? How should the news be? What does it mean that the news is the fourth force controlling the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary? In addition to answering the questions, it will be emphasized that the news is a part of life, a person's right to life, and that the news is a phenomenon that directly targets people's information. In this context, the formation and development of news from the first age to the present, journalism issues in the print, radio and visual media, and digital media, and how the neutrality of the news is discussed over the concept of news today will be discussed.
