At the end of this course, the students; 1) Have knowledge of students about general environmental problems, 2) Have knowledge of international environmental protection effort and policy about environmental problems. 3) Have knowledge of social, economics and environmental effects of tourism, 4) Learn sustainable tourism principles within the context of sustainable development, 5) Learn ecotourism principles and to work in tourism business with these approaches.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course is carried out with the aim of raising environmental awareness about what the students can do as individuals working in the sector in order to understand the environmental degradation on natural and cultural resources as a result of unconscious tourism development and to minimize the deterioration. Global environmental problems, the way these problems are handled at the international level, efforts and agreements, the extent of environmental problems in the tourism sector, the negative social, economic and environmental effects of tourism, its contribution to the sector in the context of sustainable development, the acquisition of environmental awareness and behavior constitute the scope of the course.
