At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know and understand the importance of social behavioral and protocol rules and regulations 2) Know dressing up, walking and talking properly 3) Know introducing and meeting people; behaving in the office; speaking on the phone 4) Know the rules of written communication, appointments and business meetings. 5) Organize the social and official dinner invitations 6) Know sending and giving flowers and gifts and thanking rules

COURSE DEFINITION | The purpose of the course is to furnish the students with necessary knowledge of social behavior and protocol rules which are necessary for succesful work life and decent social relationship. |

1st Week | General information about the course and the evaluation methods. Historical development of the social hehavior and protocol rules and regulations. | 2nd Week | The importance of the social behavioral rules in social and professional life; meaning and the importance of protocol for international diplomacy and employees of the government agencies and private companies | 3rd Week | Importance of cleanness, proper dressing, walking and talking styles, voice tone and gestures in social and professional life | 4th Week | Importance and the rules of introducing and meeting people. | 5th Week | Importance and the rules of addressing and greeting people;the rules applied during welcoming and seing the official guests off. | 6th Week | Office behaviour, relations with the authorities | 7th Week | Speaking on the telephone. | 8th Week | Midterm exam | 9th Week | Rules applied in making and giving appointment and in written communications. | 10th Week | Managing meetings. | 11th Week | Official and social invitations, business lunchs and dinners; protocol rules applied in the automobiles; giving and sending flowers and gifts, and thanking rules. | 12th Week | General rules. | 13th Week | Presentations | 14th Week | Presentations |
