1) Learn written and oral sources of Turkish cultural history.
2) Analyze social practices based on traditions, customs and beliefs.
3) Recognize relations among world cultures and mythologies, and carry out comparative studies.
4) Determine cultural change and alienation.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on major social norms, phases of daily life and behaviors, related customs and beliefs. Research methods and previous studies in this area will also be explored.
