At the end of this course, the students;
1) Learn Ottoman cultural history and how it reflects to texts.
2) Learn to examine a Divan poem with different scientific methods.
3) Learn the classificiation of Ottoman cultural history (social life, rituals, architectural structure...) and read about a text by using these classifications.
4) Develop a perspective on how the texts should be used as materials in the study of cultural history.
