At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand fundamentals of gene silencing, genome editing, and gene therapy. 2) Understand fundamental concepts of transgenic organisms. 3) Understand basic approaches in gene sequencing, omic, and microarray technologies. 4) Understand basic approaches in synthetic biology and protein engineering. 5) Discuss ethical issues and social concerns in genetic engineering.
