At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn timeline of agricultural biotechnology, market, genetically modified plants and their products. 2) Learn fundamentals of modern biotechnology, and plant transformation techniques 3) Understand applications in propagation of endangered plants and production of valuable plant biochemical. 4) Understand and discuss global impact of biotechnology on society, legal regulations and safety issues in agricultural biotechnology.
