LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the concepts of professionalism and professional ethics. 2) Learn the characteristics of professionals. 3) Learn the functions of management consultants. 4) Learns professional organizations. 5) Learns ethical problems and practices for professionals. 6) Learns the scope of audit consulting and consulting services.

COURSE DEFINITION	Ethical and moral concepts, social rules, social norms, values, law and morality, ethical principles, professional ethics are explained. Deontological-teleological ethics, communication ethics and modernization, popular culture and ethics are also covered.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week İntroduction to business ethics and basic concepts 2nd Week İmportance and ethics given to ethical values 3rd Week What factors affect ethical behavior? Why should we behave ethically? 4th Week Basic areas of business ethics (Business ethics, professional ethics, work ethics) 5th Week Ethical climate and ethical codes 6th Week Personal moral philosophies (idealism and relativism), disclosure 7th Week Managing ethical behavior: Developing ethical understanding and ethical education in business 8th Week Midterm 9th Week Human resource ethics 10th Week Social responsibility, main social responsibility areas and stakeholder management 11th Week Marketing ethics and press ethics 12th Week Ethics in politics, Ethics in medicine 13th Week Case analysis (case study) 14th Week Project work presentations 15th Week Final Exam
