LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Defines the historical development of children and childhood. 2) Explains the basic concepts of child development. 3) Grasps the factors affecting development. 4) Explains the development theories. 5) Explains prenatal and newborn development. 6) Explains the develoment in infancy. 7) Explains the deeloment in early childhood. 8) Compares the relationship between development zones. 9) Grasps the role and importance of child development professionals in the development of the child.

COURSE DEFINITION	The aim of this course is to provide competence in factors affecting development, problems to be faced in children and solution of these problems in the period starting from pre-natal period to the end of adolescence period. Within the framework of this course, topics such as factors affecting development, problems to be faced in children and solution of these problems in the period starting from pre-natal period to the end of adolescence period are given place.
