1) compare basic concepts of L1 and L2,
2) evaluate teaching approaches using in second language teaching and reflections on teaching Turkish as a foreign language,
3) compare curriculums developed for teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
4) compare coursebooks developed for teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
5) evaluate teaching Turkish as a foreign language in terms of aims, content, teaching-learning process and measurement.

COURSE DEFINITIONTheoretical framework in teaching Turkish as a foreign language; foreign language teaching approaches (functional language teaching approach, action and task oriented language teaching approach, traditional approaches); Evaluating the Common European Framework of Reference; The differences between teaching Turkish as a native language and teaching it as a foreign language; contexts of teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language, measurement and evaluation in teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language; designing tasks in teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language; evaluating various textbooks used in teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language; interculturalism and teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language.

6th Week Educational programs developed for the purpose of teaching Turkish as a foreign language
7th Week Language skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language (listening-reading)
8th Week Language skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language (speech-writing)
