LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Explain contents and objectives of elementary school 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th level Turkish courses.
2) Produce teaching materials for using in Turkish education.
3) Employ basic learning and teaching strategies, methods and techniques.
4) Develop new methods and techniques for Turkish education.
5) Practises lecturing and evaluates his/her peers.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe methods, techniques, concepts, principles, environments, supports, regulations, larning-teaching processes of Turkish teaching Analysis and evaluations in a critical perspective on Turkish course programs applied in primary education. Developing of reading, listening, speaking and writing skills by means activities, transforming grammatical knowledge to ability, choosing of text used in Turkish teaching, features of texts, preparation and evaluation of questions related to text, analysis on text in various aspects, practices for making the knowledge and skills permanent, tools, types and methods of measurment-evaluation, measurment and evaluation in teaching Turkish. Studies for preparing modern teaching environment with appropriate texts.
