COURSE DEFINITIONGeneral characteristics of Turkish Literature in the Republican Period, literary movements and literary schools that emerged in the period. Examination of major works from literary genres such as stories, novels, poems. Introducing the main literary figures of this period with their distinctive characteristics.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Week 1: Introduction to the course, introduction of the syllabus, general characteristics of Turkish literature in the Republican period.
2nd Week Week 2: Developments in Turkish literature during the Republican period until the 1940s (Memleket Edebiyatı, Beş hececiler, Yedi Meşaleciler); Turkish novel and storytelling, introducing the main writers of these literary schools with their distinctive characteristics, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
3rd Week Week 3: Developments in Turkish literature during the Republican period until the 1940s (Memleket Edebiyatı, Beş hececiler, Yedi Meşaleciler); Turkish novel and storytelling, introducing the main writers of these literary schools with their distinctive characteristics, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
4th Week Week 4: Concept of pure-poetry in Turkish literature of the Republican period; Introducing the main literary figures of this literary approach with their distinctive characteristics, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
5th Week Week 5: Socialist realism in Turkish literature of the Republican period; Introducing the main literary figures of this literary approach with their distinctive characteristics, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
6th Week Week 6: Socialist realism in Turkish literature of the Republican period; Introducing the main literary figures of this literary approach with their distinctive characteristics, analyzing literary texts and evaluating them in terms of Turkish education.
