At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains problem solving concepts and approaches 2) Uses algorithms and flow diagrams in problem solving 3) Understands the basic software and hardware components that make up the computer system 4) Explains the Internet and related technologies 5) Understands information security, digital accessibility and ethics in computers and the Internet 6) Discusses the effects of computers and the internet on children and young people 7) Creates digital or printed documents using a word processing program 8) Prepares effective presentations with the presentation program 9) Be able to organize numerical or text data effectively using a spreadsheet program and present this data graphically

COURSE DEFINITION
Information Technologies in Education course covers the basic concepts of software and hardware and operating systems required for students to work comfortably with computer systems; It ensures responsible computer use by reinforcing this knowledge with information ethics, copyrights, correct and safe internet use. Due to this course, students learn word processing, presentation, database and desktop publishing programs and benefit from this updated knowledge and skills in their future careers.
