LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) explains the digital competencies framework,
2) discusses the impact of current and innovative technologies on education,
3) develops digital content in different formats,
4) evaluates the ethical issues caused by human machine interaction,
5) formulates recommendations for the protection of devices, digital content, personal data and privacy in digital environments.

COURSE DEFINITIONInnovative and current technologies in education course covers the opportunities offered by developing technology and methods that personalize learning and use more immersive technologies such as alternative teaching and learning styles. It specifies the fundamentals and advantages of augmented, virtual and mixed reality systems integrated into web and phone applications for educational purposes. In this course, students demonstrate concepts such as artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks and machine learning, how they work in today's intelligent systems such as chatbots and how these systems are trained.
