At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recognize the history of Turkish education and list it chronologically. 2) Discuss the effects of political, economic and cultural elements on education in the history of Turkish education. 3) Compares the pre-Islamic Turkish education system with the post-Islamic system. 4) Understands the meaning of education and training, the scope and content of the course.

COURSE DEFINITION
Pre-Islamic and post-Islamic processes of Turkish education history, Compensation in the Ottoman Empire, I. Constitutional Monarchy, Absolutism and II. Educational processes during the Constitutional Monarchy period, changes and reforms in the education system during the Republic period, Atatürk's view of education and Village Institutes will be examined.
