1) Explains the basic concepts related to the field of special education.
2) Explains the psychological stages and characteristics of families of students in need of special education.
3) Explains the characteristics of certain groups of students with special education needs.
4) Explains how to adapt their programs for groups with different special education needs.
5) Explains the rights of children with special needs and their families

COURSE DEFINITIONThe course on Education of Children with Special Needs provides students with a theoretical and practical perspective on supporting the learning and development of children with various special needs. The course covers topics such as various teaching methods, technological tools, instructional materials, assessment methods, collaboration with parents, and a multidisciplinary approach to special education. In addition, the course aims to enable students to create individualized educational plans tailored to the diverse needs of children with special needs.

7th Week Education of children with special needs and new approaches
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Inclusion programs in special education
10th Week Inclusion in special education
11th Week IEP preparation and educational program adaptation
12th Week Teacher qualifications and teacher needs for children with special needs
13th Week Family support programs and family participation in special education
14th Week Education of children with special needs in the world and in Turkey
