LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explains the relationship between basic concepts related to teaching principles and methods. 2) Determines appropriate goals for the lesson. 3) Plans teaching. 4) Explain the difference between teaching methods and techniques. 5) Determines the method and technique appropriate to the target. 6) Applies the teaching process to the teaching plan. 7) Applies different teaching strategies in the teaching process.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, basic concepts related to teaching principles and methods, teaching principles, planning of teaching, objectives/gains, teaching strategies, learning theories and approaches are included.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Introduction, Aims and Objectives of the Course, Basic Concepts (education, teaching, principle, method, technique, strategy) 2nd Week Teaching Approaches (student-teacher centered approaches, through presentation-discovery, through research-study, whole learning, cooperative learning) 3rd Week Instructional Approaches (student-teacher centered approaches, through presentation-discovery, through research-study, whole learning, cooperative learning 4th Week Factors affecting the choice of method in teaching. Differences between the concepts of method, technique, tactic strategy.
