LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Have knowledge on theoretical framework of basic concepts about globalization.
2) Could distinguish basic themes and problems on globalization and education.
3) Could interrelate factors such as society, poverty, ethnicity, gender, economy, and politics to the phenomena of globalization and education.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on the impact of globalization on education. In this context, theories of globalization are discussed and especially in the framework of cultural globalization, information society, multiculturalism, post-modernism, etc. concepts are analyzed. The course also covers international global education programs and examines the concrete effects of globalization on the educational institution.
