Specific Admission Requirements
Student admission requirements for the Sociology Non-Thesis Master Program are listed below:
1. 4 year faculty bachelor degree graduates can apply. There is no scientific preparation program in our program.
2. Candidates are required to speak a certain level of foreign language in order to be admitted to the postgraduate program. Candidates will be directly interviewed if they have documented that they have foreign language knowledge at the desired level from any of the exams listed below.
3. Those who submit documents of one of the foreign language exams made by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) on the condition that being one of the languages which is accepted for associate professorship by the InterUniversity Council other than English.

Candidates who do not have any of the documents related to the exams mentioned above must achieve the English test which will be done at Başkent University English Preparatory Department. Candidates should take at least 55 points in English exam. Candidates whose English language proficiency level is not sufficient in the master's program can participate in intensive language education program at the English Preparatory Department of the University.
Since the language of instruction is Turkish in the department, Turkish Proficiency Certificate (TÖMER) will be required from foreign applicants. |
