LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Topics such as modernization, postmodernism, actor-society-structure relations, social change, power, post-structuralism, structure degradation which can be considered as contemporary theoretical approaches of sociology are discussed.
2) Sociological perspectives developed by contemporary theorists such as Mills, Tourain, Derrida, Adorno, Horkheimer, Foucault, Baudrillard and Baudelaire are discussed comparatively.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, topics such as modernization, post-modernism, actor-society-structure relations, social change, power, post-structuralism, deconstruction, which can be counted among the contemporary theoretical approaches of sociology, will discussed comparatively by the works of contemporary theorists such as Mills, Tourain, Derrida, Adorno, Horkheimer, Foucault, Baudrillard and Baudelaire.
