At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the characteristics of post-1980s Turkish litature. 2) Recognize major authors of contemporary Turkish literature. 3) Analyze significant works of the period. 4) Read texts in different literary genres.

COURSE DEFINITION | Contemporary Turkish literature covers a period that is formed by a rich cultural background
and focuses on current literary trends. This course aims to examine the social and cultural
background that has transformed Turkish literature from the 1980s to the present. In this
framework, prominent authors of contemporary literature are introduced and their works are
interpreted in a comparative manner. |
