At the end of this course, the students; 1) Classify the modern written languages and dialects developed from the Oghuz Turkic. 2) Compare the general linguistic features of the languages in the Oghuz branch. 3) Explain the phonetic and morphological features of the languages in the Oghuz branch. 4) Analyze the morphological features of the words in the text. 5) Translate texts in Cyrillic and Latin letters into Turkish using sources.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course deals with the modern Turkic written languages and dialects that have developed from the Proto Oghuz. The written language and dialects that fall into the Oghuz group, starting with their historical development, will be evaluated on phonetics, morphology, syntax and lexicon. Within the scope of the course, students will find the opportunity to deal with the major literary products and other language material through authentic sources. Thus, students will gain an insight into the modern Turkic communities that speak Turkic written languages and dialects.
