LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Defines Humor and Humor Types.
2) Recognises and implements Theory of Humor.
3) Comprehends and interprets the type of the anectode which is one of the main components of Turkish Humor, and the type of the Nasrettin Hoca as a humorous actor.
4) Interprets media and humor relations.
5) Understands the change and the transformation of the tradition of Humor.

COURSE DEFINITIONWithin this course, the concept of "humor", which is among the sources of "laughing", one of the common behavioral patterns of humanity, the origins of humor, humor studies in the West and Turkey, the humor-language relationship and theories of humor will be examined as to reveal the change process of the humor tradition together with Nasreddin Hodja Jokes, which is one of the basic elements of the humor tradition in Turkey, information will be provided about the usage of humor in the field of media, which is utilised effectively today.
