At the end of this course, the students; 1) Interpret the concept of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage 2) Explain the concept of Applied Folklore. 3) Gains knowledge about the use of folklore in platforms such as the internet and cinema and analyzes the applications. 4) Recozgnize areas such as Internet Folklore, Body Folklore.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course deals with Turkish Folk Beliefs (creation, death, good-luck, bad-luck etc.), Turkish theatrical presentations in folk literature, puppet shows, Karagoz, public story tellers, folk theatres, Turkish cuisine, folk comedy and folk justice will be examined.
