1) Learns purpose and resources of Folklore.
2) Comprehends theory and investigation methods of Folklore with chronological approach.
3) Exercises theory and investigation of Folklore at practical level.

COURSE DEFINITIONWithin this course, the emergence of Folklore as a discipline, its development and transformation process will be reviewed and studies on Folklore in the West and Turkey will be analysed. Besides, within the scope of the course, the purpose of Folklore, related sciences, sources will be provided and information will be given about basic theories along with data collection and analysis methods which are necessary for students in order to conduct practice in this field.
