At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gains knowledge about prosody and its development. 2) Recognizes the types of prosody. 3) Examines the texts of poetry created with prosody. 4) Have information about the text commentary. 5) Gains knowledge about determining the meter of poetry texts and interpreting the texts.

COURSE DEFINITION
In this course, the history and development of ?aruz? prosody and the first works created by prosody, starting from the formation of Turkish prosody, will be examined. With the help of literary arts learned in the first semester of the course, text explanation methods will be discussed through examples of divan poetry and the interpretation of a couplet as a whole with various applications will be emphasized.
