LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gain knowledge about research question and research design. 2) Will learn how to construct a conceptual framework and produce hypotheses. 3) Will learn the processes of scientific research. 4) Will learn how to conduct a literature review 5) Will learn how to design method, findings, and discussion 6) Gain the ability to design and conduct quality scientific research. 7) Learn how to write a research proposal. 8) Gain knowledge and skill about publishing process of a scientific research paper. 9) Get a sense of science ethics.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, students are obligated to produce a scientific paper which will be published in internationally renowned journals.Participants will experience every step of producing a scientific article. In this process, academicians will guide students.At the end of the semester, students will defend their work against a community of experts.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Meaning and definition of science. Thought experiments. Students' presentations. 2nd Week Scientific methods and fundamental principles of scientific methods.Students' presentations. 3rd Week Ethics in scientific studies research. 4th Week Research techniques and narrowing down the research question. 5th Week Accessing and using scientific resources (Electronic journals, databases, periodicals) 6th Week Establishing a hypothesis, determining a method, drafting a draft, preparing a temporary bibliography 7th Week Scientific jargon and writing rules 8th Week Mid-Term Exam 9th Week Scientific jargon and writing rules 10th Week Research design. core concepts and aim-problem relation. 11th Week Data gathering techniques. 12th Week Writting an academic paper: Citations, quatiation and paraphrasing 13th Week Writting an academic paper: Tables, figures and references 14th Week Completion of the research paper. 15th Week
