General Information

Department of International Finance and Banking is a 4-year bachelor's degree programme. Courses and their contents are selected and arranged to gain students adequate occupational qualification and management skills. In the first two years of the programme, students take courses which are basic for their education. In the final two years of the programme students take Monetary Theory and Policy, Banking Law, Capital Markets, Banking Operations, International Financial Markets, Credit Policy and Evoluation, Risk Management in Banking, Central Bank and Banking Accounting Courses. Since the department considers work experience very important, students have to complete summer training for 30 working days and internship for at least 400 working hours. In this context, majority of occupational courses are given by experts who are working at Treasury, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat, Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, State Planning Organization, National Banks and Institutions.
