General Information
Three professor, one associate professor, two lecturer and a biologist are employed in the Department of Physiology as academic staff. The department is responsible from the Physiology education given to Class I,II of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry.
Medical Physiology is a science that examines the functions of cells, tissues, organs and systems that make up the human structure, the mechanisms of fulfillment of these functions, the cause-effect connections, and the relationships of these structures with each other and with the outside world. Physiology try to explain them based on the results of experiments with scientific methods. For this purpose, our Physiology Ph.D. Program will give the students who will start academic life the ability to conduct independent research, to make comments and evaluations by examining scientific events with a broad and deep perspective and to make necessary researches to reach new scientific data. With this program; the aim is to meet the needs of academic staff who are able to conduct original scientific research, produce theoretical and practical solutions in the field of Physiology and / or perform their profession with a professional approach and self-confidence in the field where they are employed. Original researches will be provided by presenting the necessary opportunities for the academic staff to be able to enter to the academic field. Thus, it is aimed to make scientific contributions to health institutions at national and international level. In the light of contemporary and universal values, we aim to train staff who have reached a professional level in the field of Physiology, can bring innovation to the health sector, develop themselves in scientific sense and contribute to science, by providing knowledgeable, enlightened and committed to ethical rules.
