At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand the role and function of sport psychology in the field of sport sciences. 2) Learn the historical development of sport psychology. 3) Learn the basic and general concepts (personality, motivation, gender role orientation, group dynamic, anxiety, stress, attention, leadership, aggression) of sport psychology. 4) Learn basic techniques of performance enhancement in sport. 5) Understand the psychological needs of athletes 6) Understand psychological benefits of sport. 7) Learn the basic and general concepts exercise psychology. 8) Understand relationship between exercise and psychological well being. 9) Understand the role of psychological characteristics in talent identifications
