1) Understands why sport is a social construction
2) Comprehends how sports and leisure time are institutionalized in social and cultural contexts

COURSE DEFINITIONSports sociology is a sub-discipline of sociology, and it examines sports as a social phenomenon.In this course, the relationship between sports, leisure time, society and culture is discussed systematically. During the course, students are provided with the opportunity to learn and discuss ideas and ideas about sports and leisure time in society, by looking at them from a critical perspective.
