General Information

Communication and Design Department; It aims to train cultural intermediaries that incorporate the concepts of communication, design and technology, and have the competencies to prepare, design and present effective messages in line with the policies and strategies of organizations by combining the use of technology in communication environments with design knowledge and skills. The curriculum of the department, which has been created differently from similar structures in Turkey, has an emphasis on both art and technology based on communication. There are various workshops, studios and laboratories for practical courses in the faculty. The department accepts students with the verbal score type.

Communication designer; It is the person who grasps the relationship between communication - technology - design, designs communication using technology, produces, manages, distributes and is responsible for shaping the distribution. At the same time, the "communication designer" has a solution-oriented approach to problems, develops and uses visual language, challenges prejudices, thinks versatile, critical and conceptual, incorporates innovations into their practices, entrepreneurial and creative discoveries. She plays an active role in all stages of the process, from research to communication strategy, from production to brand management. In addition to the basic theoretical education of communication sciences, the department also provides students with competence in the application of content related to the field.
