Profile of the Programme
The students in composition undergraduate program make advanced study of composition, as well as history of western music, history of Turkish music, and various world music. Being capable of comparing these genres and different periods of music history, they receive some focus in theory and harmony to get involved in classical and modern writing techniques, and are specialized in composing for various size ensembles. They are able to develop opinions about the aesthetics and technology of musical arts, while being capable of making detailed analysis on works from various periods of the music history. They have all kinds of opportunities required for these studies. |
