Key Learning Outcomes

  • Adequate knowledge and understanding of mathematics, natural sciences, and topics related to mechanical engineering; the ability to utilize theoretical and applied knowledge in solving mechanical engineering problems.
  • Ability to identify, define, formulate, and solve complex mechanical engineering problems; the capability to select and apply appropriate analysis and modeling methods for this purpose.
  • Skill in designing complex systems and/or subsystems, devices, or products in accordance with specified requirements under realistic constraints and conditions; the ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
  • Ability to design, develop, select, and effectively use modern tools and computational techniques necessary for the analysis and solution of complex problems encountered in mechanical engineering applications; proficiency in utilizing information technologies effectively.
  • Skill in designing experiments, conducting experiments, collecting data, analyzing and interpreting results for the investigation of complex mechanical engineering problems or specific research topics in mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams; individual work skills.
  • Proficiency in effective verbal and written communication in Turkish and English; the ability to write effective reports, understand written reports, prepare design and production reports, deliver effective presentations, and provide and receive clear instructions.
  • Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; the ability to access information, follow developments in science and technology, and sustain personal development.
  • Adherence to ethical principles, awareness of professional and ethical responsibilities; knowledge of standards used in mechanical engineering applications, knowledge of sustainable development.
  • Knowledge about practices in professional life such as project management, risk management, and change management; awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Knowledge about the universal and societal impacts of mechanical engineering applications on health, environment, and safety, as well as contemporary issues; awareness of the legal consequences of engineering solutions.
