Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The success of the student's courses are evaluated together with the period notes and the evaluation of the final exam. Period notes will consist of notes given for midterm exams, quizzes, homeworks, practices, prepared presentations and other studies performed. At th end of the semester one of the following letter notes will be given to the students as a success case not efor each course: The given note Coefficient A- 3.7 B+ 3.3 B 2.7 C+ 2.3 C 2.0 F1 0.0 F2 0.0 (F1) is given to students considered to being failed even though the attendance, (F2) is given to students considered to fail due to absence of the course grade. Besides (P), (Y) and (Z); are letters given as notes without coefficient. In order to succeed in a course that course must be at least grade (C +). (Y) note is given to the student who is successful on the thesis, seminar or project course. (P) note is given to the student who continues successfully with the thesis work. (Z) note is given to the student who is not successful on the thesis, seminar or project course. (P), (Y) and (Z) notes are not included in GPA (grade point average) calculations
