1) Learning the basics of the theory of Markov chains
2) Learning the Little formulation and applications

COURSE DEFINITIONCharacteristics of queuing systems, birth and death processes. Single or multi-service queuing models with or without Markov property (M/M/1, M/M/c, G/M/c, M/G/1). Steady-state analysis. The optimal control of queues. Queue Networks. The applications of queuing theory on Manufacturing and computer systems.
